A Story
of Faith,
Miracles,
and Hope.

Book cover "from orphan to inspiration"

Meet the Author

Hello and welcome. I am honored that you are here. My name is Betty Simon: author, speaker, life coach, wife, and mama to twin boys. On November 30th, 2023, God called me to write a book about the 11 miracles that saved my life. I didn’t write it because I have all the answers. I wrote it because I was instructed, and I have seen too much to stay silent. When you have been pulled from the fire eleven times, you don’t just walk away. You speak. You testify. You give hope. I wrote From Orphan to Inspiration because someone out there needs to know that God is still moving, still protecting, still restoring, and still writing beautiful stories out of broken places. Being alive is my testimony. Sharing it is my obedience. This book is more than pages to me, every chapter is a miracle. Every story is a reminder that God sees us, protects us, and walks with us even when we can’t feel Him. Writing it healed places in my heart I didn’t realize were still hurting. It is my offering of gratitude, my way of saying, “If God can do this for me, He can do it for you.” My hope is that when you read From Orphan to Inspiration, you walk away with renewed hope, strengthened faith, and a deeper belief that your story is far from over. I hope you feel encouraged to keep going, even when life feels heavy, and that you find comfort in knowing your pain has purpose and God never wastes your tears. My desire is that my story helps you feel seen, less alone, and brave enough to believe that what God has done for me, He can absolutely do for you. More than anything, I hope this book reminds you that miracles still happen, and that God is still writing something beautiful in your life. Today, I live in beautiful Oregon with my husband and our twin boys, building a life wrapped in faith, love, and the colors of hope. I find peace in quiet moments with God, in the laughter of my boys, and in knowing that the same God who carried me from orphan to inspiration is still leading me step by step. Thank you for being here. It means more than you know. Blessings.

“Betty’s story is a radiant testimony of resilience, faith, and the quiet strength of the human spirit. Her voice is both poetic and grounded, guiding the reader through war zones, hospitals, and heartbreak with raw vulnerability and unwavering hope. The Eleven Miracles structure provides a powerful arc, each chapter delivering immersive storytelling and distilled wisdom. The reflections at the end of each section are especially meaningful, inviting the reader to consider how grace may be unfolding in their own life. This is more than a memoir; it’s a lifeline for anyone walking through hardship, and a reminder that miracles often come in the quiet, faithful steps we take forward. I’ll be one of the first in line to buy this remarkable book.“

Honestly, it’s amazing that I ever got to meet Betty. After reading her book, that thought keeps echoing in my mind. To see how someone can walk through what she’s lived — from her early years as an orphan in Africa to the challenges and miracles that followed — and still write with such hope and grace is powerful. This book isn’t just a story; it’s living proof that faith can carry a person through anything, and that purpose can be born from even the hardest places.
